What is the difference between Fibre to the Home(FTTH) and Fibre to the Business(FTTB)?
FTTH is designed for residential use, offering high speeds for multiple users, streaming, and gaming. FTTB is tailored for businesses, providing dedicated, symmetrical speeds, higher Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and prioritised support for critical business operations like cloud applications and VoIP.
How long does fibre installation take?
Once you’ve placed your order and coverage is confirmed, the Fibre Network Operator (FNO) will contact you to schedule an installation date. This typically takes between 7-14 working days, depending on the FNO and your location.
Is fibre affected by load shedding?
While the fibre network itself is generally resilient, your internet connection will go down during load shedding if your Fibre Network Terminal (ONT) and Wi-Fi router lose power. We recommend investing in a small UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) to keep your devices powered during outages.
